Unlock the Power of Forensic Genetic Genealogy—Solve Cases Faster, Save Thousands, and Secure Your Investigations

Outsourcing forensic genealogy can be expensive, slow, and risky. Many vendors lack law enforcement experience, which leads to costly mistakes. With the Law Enforcement Forensic Genetic Genealogy Certificate Program, taught by a seasoned police detective and a forensic expert, you’ll gain the skills to handle investigations in-house—saving at least $3,000 per case, while maintaining control over security, accuracy, and case presentation.

This comprehensive, hands-on program guides you through the entire forensic genetic genealogy process—from case initiation to solving real cases—using actual DNA data. Plus, you’ll be fully prepared to present your findings in court, including expert report writing, backed by strategies to address challenges raised by defense experts.

Why In-House is the Smarter—and Safer—Choice

Outsourcing your forensic genealogy cases to third-party vendors with no law enforcement experience isn’t just a budget drain—it opens your cases to unnecessary risk. With this program, you’ll bring the entire forensic genetic genealogy process in-house, saving time, money, and ensuring your case is rock-solid from investigation to courtroom presentation.

  • Save Over $3,000 Per Investigation
Avoid expensive vendor fees by handling investigations internally—saving thousands on each case.

  • Maximize Case Security
Keep sensitive DNA data within your department and eliminate security risks associated with third-party vendors who often lack experience with law enforcement’s specific needs.

  • Leverage Law Enforcement Expertise
Learn from a seasoned police detective and a forensic expert, both with deep experience in forensic genetic genealogy. Unlike many outsourced companies, they understand the challenges you face on the ground.

  • Prepare for Court Like an Expert
Get hands-on training in expert report writing, preparing your findings for courtroom presentation. You’ll learn to anticipate and address challenges from defense experts—giving you the confidence to defend your work in any legal setting.

Key Dates

Hi, I’m Christine, and I’m excited to introduce you to the Law Enforcement Forensic Genetic Genealogy Certificate Program. Before you sign up, I want to let you know about a key part of the program that could make your learning experience even more impactful.

One of the unique opportunities in this course is that you can work on your own case during our practical exercises. This hands-on approach means you’ll be applying what you learn directly to your own investigations—but it does require some prep work before class starts.

If you’re planning to work on a cold case or any active investigation, I’ll need to hear from you in advance to ensure we have everything ready before the course begins.

Specifically, we need to start the genome sourcing process no later than November 15, 2024.

Getting your genome sourced and prepared takes time, and we want to make sure everything is in place for the January 15, 2025 start date.

To help you stay on track, here are the key deadlines you’ll need to meet if you plan to work on a case during the course:

  • By November 1, 2024, we need to have a conversation about your case. This is to ensure the case is a good fit for forensic genetic genealogy, and to include it in the next sourcing run.

  • November 15, 2024 is the deadline to begin genome sourcing—this will give us time to have your data ready for class."

You’ll also need mid-level access to Ancestry.com for our family tree-building exercises. We’ll be using this tool to work with genetic data and trace relationships, which is crucial for solving cases."

So, if you’re interested in applying what you learn to your own case, please reach out to me as soon as possible. This will ensure we have everything in place before the class starts. Remember, we’re here to help you through the entire process, from lab sourcing to getting your genome ready to go.

I look forward to working with you in this hands-on, practical course. If you have any questions or want to discuss a case for the program, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make sure we’re ready to hit the ground running!
